A few friendly guidelines to keep the hunt fun…
- Stick to public places
All codes are hidden in public, easy-to-reach spots. If a clue seems to lead you onto private property, or somewhere you’d need to climb, squeeze, crawl or scramble to reach, you’ve gone the wrong way — so pause and rethink.
- Stay safe
This treasure hunt is designed to be fun and family-friendly. We’ve avoided hiding codes in places that may be unsafe or unsuitable for children on their own, such as busy roads, railway areas, waterways, pubs, shops or restaurants.
- Tell a grown-up
If you’re under 18, please let a parent or carer know your treasure-hunting plans and keep them updated as you go. They might even help you crack a clue or two!
